I took the class with a friend so we would not be "bored stiff" alone. Not only was I not bored, the instruction while serious was entertaining and enjoyable. I have no idea how many people were there but I would guess it was close to if not over 100. The printing, notaries, and photos go smoothly. The range is handled in the same smooth manner set up in rounds and like the site says, your not there much more than an hour, even when there is a shooter with issues. They get all my referrals.

As a military police investigator and patrolman as well as a weapon instructor and range official, I was extremely impressed by the thoroughness of the class and the manner it was taught. I teach people all the time and it can be extremely hard to keep it interesting. This class was great and the expertise you all provided was fantastic. The way you all took care of the admin side of things was so flawless and completely easy (on our part at least). I am extremely thankful!

Thanks for the great course, it was interesting and informative. The best thing about the course ws the help and guidance provided to get all of the paperwork, fingerprints and photos nesessary for the application. I took the course in late March, mailed in my application on the following Monday and today I checked the CHL site and saw my application was confirmed and my CHL is being issued. Thanks again for the course.

I attended the class in March and was VERY satistfied with the level of instruction and service. I researched several sources to get my CHL. Your progam by far gave me more bang for the buck. Some of the other places spread the class over two days (4 per day) and a 3rd day to qualify at the range and DID NOT INCLUDE ANY PAPERWORK, PHOTOS, FINGERPRINT CARDS... etc. They referred you to someone else to get that part of the process completed, and of course that was another cost! Your the BEST!

First off I want to say This course was awesome! It was incredibly well organized and the step by step guidance with all the paperwork and procedures was outstanding. Your team worked together like a Concealed Handgun Liscensee Making Machine. The information in the class was very well explained and I am extremly confident now that I know the concealed carry laws. I will be sure to reccomend this class to my military buddies and family members. I'll see you guys again when it's time to renew!

The class was conducted in a professional manner without being "stuffy". The instructors exhibited confidence and competence. It appears that all of the requirements of the Texas CHL were covered and assistance in meeting the requirements was provided whereever it was possible. The administration of the class was smooth and the schedule was maintained. The handgun proficiency qualification was carried out safely and patiently. We received good value for our registration fees.

The class was simply excellent. This class was exactly what I was looking for; friendly, exact, very informative, and fun. Sammy and Jo are very nice and very professional and their staff are top-notch. They make filling out the forms very easy because they simply go through the entire process with you and if you have any questions they are happy to help. I would recommend this class to anyone who wants a CHL. I hope to see you guys in four years. Thanks guys!

The class was very fun and I enjoyed it and will recommend others to take the exact class. I would do it again if I had to :-) I was there for some of the wind action at the end of the shooting portion of the class. I wanted to say thank you for being so kind to my father (bigger guy with the wheels), you guys made us feel very comfortable and very welcome there. Keep up the good work, and once again THANK YOU!

Hi, Jo and Sammy, I just wanted to tell you what FUN Ben and I had!! I am, personally (Ben certainly is NOT!!!), a very left-leaning pacifist who never thought she'd even want to own a gun, much less have a license to carry concealed. I probably signed up for the class just because Ben wanted company. But after the firing range Sunday, I was sooooo pumped!!! I can't wait to practice, 'cause I want to be really, really good! Anyway, thank you! I feel very comfortable with the knowledge I gained and had a blast (pun-intended!) in the process. See you in 4+ years and, in the meantime, we will refer you to everyone!! Judy

I agree great class. You must have unlimited energy. One thing that makes it so good is that you are so organized. Completing the paper work now and have one quick question. Do both photos go in the envelope or does one get attached to the sheet? I see Conflicting instructions. Thanks

Jo Thank you to you both. The class fun and very informative. When nature is involved, you never know what will happen. It makes things interesting. Since I am prior military and have a friend in Afghanistan, the military are always in my prayers to keep them safe and for a safe return. Take care of yourself and Sammy.

I wanted to thank Sammy and Jo for taking there time away form there lives and family to help teach me the proper way to control a handgun. I learned a lot more then i thought i knew about handgun laws. I also wanted to mention the class went alot faster with Sammys humor and how he interacted with the class.I had a lot of fun yesterday and today shooting. I'm glad the class went smooth and the two of you had fun as well. P.S. I hope to see y'all in the years to come. I took your November class. Excellent. FYI, I looked online a month later and my license had been approved. I got it in the mail a few days later. Could have been because of Peace Officer in my background, but in any case thought you would like to have one current data point. BTW I got one of the Ruger 380 automatics and I really like it to carry. It is a little heavy on the trigger but that's OK. Happy New Year, Jim

I was told about your program from a former student. As I stated in my course evaluation, I plan on actively marketing your program. As for the radio ADS, maybe it is the wrong station. I can only speak for myself, there is a new to the FM dial station KHAL 103.7 which is easy listening music format. They play all from Frank Sinatra to Elton John. The point is they say that it cost around $10.00 per spot and they do all the work. This station will reach all the retired military from WWII to Vietnam era folks who own homes. Plus you could place a cheap AD in the military Post newspapers. I could help with that. None the less great class: thanks Mike

Jo, I was a renewal. I took your class 4 years ago to get my original license. I was surprised at the size of the class, much larger than 4 years ago. Good to see that the enthusiasm of conceal carry hasn't waned. I was always curious as to how many people took the class to actually carry as opposed to just being able to have one in their vehicle legally. With the recent changes to the law and the size of the class, I don't have to guess anymore. The class was professional, well managed, AND entertaining. If I hadn't had other commitments to attend to I'd have stayed for the afternoon session. Tell Sammy I hope his thumb recovers quickly. I'm not making fun of it in any way, but he knows better. And for the record, I was the other causality of the day, tore a piece of flesh off the palm of my hand when it got pinched as I inserted my clip. Large hands and small pistols don't always make for the best fit. Man it's been years since I've done that. Kinda like Sammy. Give the entire staff a heartfelt "Thank You" for me. It almost seems a shame to wait 4 years to do it again.

It seems the process is picking up for alot of folks now, I'm hearing of some getting theirs in less than 3 months. Note: Sammy and Jo, I just recieved my CHL. I sent in my application and my check on April 30th. I had a problem with my finger prints, and Sammy came right out to my office and redid them. What service!! Thank you for taking the extra step. I attended the class with my son and daughter, we all had a very informative class and every thing went very well. After taking your course I felt confidant about carrying a concealed handgun, and I fill like I have a link for more information if needed. We enjoyed the class, love the 2 day format vs the 1 day, much easier, the jokes were great and the range was a blast (no pun intended). Would recommend ya'll in a heart beat and was worth the 2 hour drive for the class. Thanks to all of ya'll for a great time.

Jo and Sammy, It was good to see you both. I enjoyed the visit at lunch. The class went great. You both do a great job with so many people. I know there must have been glitches but looking from the outside in, I couldn't tell. I am usually nervous at the range with so many people, having been shot before, but the way you and your helpers handled it, I was at ease. I am glad these classes are going so well for you.

Material was very well presented and discussed in the class; also, the professional and safe running of the qualification at the range was impressive which is not easy to do with such a large group. I completed the May 2009 course and was very pleased with the presentation of the material. I just finished finals at UTSA the week prior and I have to tell you I was not looking forward to sitting for a 10-hour class. Sammy has assembled a great lecture with plenty of dry humor to make the time fly. I was also pleased with his thorough knowledge of the laws and was able to answer my many questions. Jo, thank you so much for keeping an eye on my son during the marksmanship test. This was a great experience and will see you all again in 4 years for my renewal.

Jo and Sammy hold an AWESOME course! Being military they did a GREAT job explaining the in's and out's for military applying for a Texas CHL. They were also VERY helpful in getting me into the class on short notice; another attribute to their helpfullness of all class members...especially military. Took the Millers' super course and sent in the apps in late January. Got the licenses today, May 15. I did have to submit 2 (two) additional sets of fingerprints, neither better than the originals. That meets the "quota"--and Rob Schmidt was most helpful in getting the add'l sets! Thanks a mil; we'll see you in 2013 for renewals!!

I took your class last May of 2008. I wanted to do something for myself since I do reside alone to protect myself. I do travel a lot in the early mornings and late at night due to my job. Your class was very helpful and a great learning experience. Want to thank you. Was worth every cent. I have also given your business card to my dad. He held a license but let it expire. FYI...I read the last post and the potential fingerprint issue was discussed very thoroughly by Sammy. He also advised how to handle it and it was not go pay someone else to do it. Larry

Took the class, have been waiting for my license. Got TWO kick back letters for my application. one for missing form information, the other for bad finger prints taken for my cards. Now I have to go get new ones done ($20) and submit these.
