STAFF
MS. JILL KINKADE has the important task of obtaining fingerprints from everybody during the class. This is
backbreaking and tedious work
as a total of 24 prints have to taken from all new applicants and 12 from
renewals. Since 9/11, fingerprint analysis by the FBI and DPS have become
more intense thereby causing more rejections and returns for
re-fingerprinting. This is a real nemesis, but Jill does an excellent
job and our returns average maybe 1 or 2 for every 500 persons printed. I
will match that up against any concealed handgun class in the state. Even
the ID section of the San Antonio Police Department has rejects, and they
do theirs by computer imaging. Jill is a retired fingerprint expert/analyst from The Texas Department of Public Safety where she spent over twenty years in the Crime Records Bureau of DPS. She is highly qualified to read, as well as, take fingerprints. She comes highly recommended from her prior supervisor as well as numerous police agencies throughout the state. She has been qualified by the FBI and naturally by DPS.
MS. SARA ROSAS takes all the pictures of the applicants to send to DPS in order to have their permits made.
The pictures have to be just right and Sara does an outstanding job making sure this
is done correctly. She also assists in the completion of the tons of
paperwork. During the workweek, Sara is the Office Manager for the
Juvenile Division of the Bexar County District Attorney's
Office.
MS. LEXIE TUDHOPE takes care of all the paperwork at the range while making sure everyone, through superior organization, has qualified before the range ends.
She also helps in setting up and taking down the range. Quite frankly, if it wasn't for Lexie, I would be running around like a chicken with it's head cut off.
MR. SCOTT TUDHOPE acts as the Rangemaster/Range Safety Officer during qualification while making sure everything is running smooth.
Scott is a expert marksman and I have yet to see a handgun he does not know about. He also helps set up and take down the range. Not sure what I would do without him.
